Squadwise is an app where Wisi organizes your friend group's meetups: it proposes a plan and two dates, collects the answers and confirms. To do that we store as little as possible. We don't sell your personal data or show ads.
What we store
- Account: your email (to sign in with a code, no password) and the name your friends see. If you sign in with Google, also that account’s profile photo.
- Your circles: the groups you belong to and who is in them.
- Preferences per circle: the area you leave from (only the neighborhood or an approximate point, never your exact location), how far you're willing to go, what kind of plans, how much you want to spend, and which days and times usually work for you.
- What you like to do: the interests you pick (sports, concerts, movies…), optional.
- Answers: what you reply to each proposal and event, whether you went, and the stars and tags you use to say how it went. Proposal answers are anonymous (the group sees totals) and your stars aren't shown: the group sees the average.
- Notifications: your phone's notification identifier, if you turn them on, and the messages we send you.
Why
Only to organize your circles' meetups: choose a plan, place and dates that work for the group, notify you, and improve future recommendations. Also, to compile aggregated and de-identified statistical information, as described below. We don't use your data for anything else.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or share your personal data with anyone for their own purposes. To run the app we rely on providers that process it only on our behalf: hosting and database, push notification delivery, email delivery (your sign-in code and backup emails, which you can turn off in Account), subscription billing, and app error reporting (technical details of the error and your user id, never your name or email).
Ad measurement. When we advertise Squadwise on Meta (Instagram and Facebook) and TikTok, the app uses their SDKs to tell them which installs, app opens, sign-ups, circles created or joined, and Plus subscriptions came from their ads, to measure and optimize our campaigns. They receive those events with device and app identifiers, never your name, email, circles or answers, and use them under their own privacy policies. On iPhone, your advertising identifier is only shared if you accept the “Allow app to track your activity” prompt; otherwise Apple only gives them aggregated data. On Android you can delete or reset your advertising ID in your phone's settings.
Members of your circles see your name, your photo (if you signed in with Google) and whether you're going to a confirmed meetup or joined an event.
Aggregated and de-identified statistical information
Squadwise may compile statistical information from meetups held at commercial venues, such as bars, cafés and restaurants, and license or otherwise provide it for consideration to those venues and to other third parties for commercial purposes. This information includes, among other data, the number of meetups held, the average rating, the most frequent tags, and their distribution by day and time of day.
Before it is provided, the information undergoes a de-identification process under Argentine Law 25,326, so that it cannot be associated with an identified or identifiable person. In particular: (i) each figure combines at least ten meetups from five different groups; (ii) it does not include names, email addresses, group names or individual answers; and (iii) it only covers meetups held after acceptance of this version of the Privacy Policy.
You may object to this use at any time in the app, under Account → Privacy → Aggregated statistics. Objecting also excludes information from past meetups.
Calendar and location
If you use “Add to calendar”, the app only asks permission to add events: it never reads your calendar. If you use your location to pick your area, it's used once and only the approximate area is stored. If your city doesn't have places yet, we note which one it is (city, region and country) so we know where to add them.
Deleting your data
You can leave a circle from its settings. To delete your account and all your data, go to Account → Borrar mi cuenta (Delete my account) in the app: it's deleted right away. If you can't access the app, email us at hola@squadwise.app from your account's email.
